Frequently Asked Commercial Painting Questions

What Makes Some Paints More Expensive Than Others?

All paints are a combination of pigments, resins and solvents. Cheap paints have more solvents and lower quality resins and pigments. As a result, you need more coats to get the same coverage as a more expensive alternative. We always recommend you select the best paint you can afford.

Do You Use Oil-Based or Latex-Based Paints?

We prefer using latex-based paints because they contain fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They give off fewer fumes, meaning less disruption for your workspace. Latex-based paints are also more moisture-resistant, which helps prevent mold and mildew.

Can You Paint Latex Over a Surface That Was Previously Painted with Oil?

With the proper preparation, yes. Our contractors will sand and clean the walls before painting to make sure it adheres.

When painting latex over a surface previously painted with oil, primer is a must.

How Much Do Painters Charge?

Each project is unique, so it's impossible to provide a single rate. But we're confident you'll find our pricing competitive, just give us a call to discuss your project ideas!

How Do I Get an Estimate?

Contact us to book an appointment. We prefer to provide detailed, accurate estimates, so we like to meet with you in person to discuss your project. We offer free, on-site consultations to learn about your painting needs. We’ll also measure and examine the surfaces you’d like us to paint and see what preparations we’ll have to make.

Do You Offer Any Environmentally Friendly Options?

Absolutely. Talk to us about our low-VOC and no-VOC paints and primers.
